WFLA Diving Coaching Staff

From 1994 to 2001, Tony was the owner and diving coach of River City Diving and coached springboard divers of all ages. He coached 18 conference champions, 36 district champs, 120 Florida high school state qualifiers, 65 Florida state finalists, 10 Junior Olympic national qualifiers and 3 Master national and world champions.

Since 2001, has been head diving coach of the West Florida Lightning Aquatics. 

Between the years 2001-2008, Tony coached 10 Pinellas County conference champs, 6 Hillsborough County winners, 12 district champs, 90 Florida High School state qualifiers, 50 Florida state finalists, 2 state champs, 18 Junior Olympic national qualifiers, 17 AAU national qualifiers, 2 AAU national champions, 4 Senior national qualifiers and 1 champion and 4 Master's divers.

Vladimir was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and came to the USA in 1996. He started his diving career when he was 7 years old and competed on a national level in USSR. He graduated from The National University of Physical Culture in Kiev with a Bachelor's degree in diving and physical education. Vladimir started his coaching career in 1986.  His biggest achievements as a coach are his students were Ukrainian Champions, runner-ups in USSR National championships, runner-ups in the JuniorEuropean Championship and represented Ukrainian National Team at 1996 Olympics games. He is married and has 4 boys. He is very passionate about coaching and loves to bring the best out of his students.
